1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the EatCheap mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

EatCheap is a meal planning application that generates weekly meal plans and grocery lists based on your budget, nutritional goals, and dietary preferences. The App is available on iOS devices in the United States.

3. Account and Authentication

The App uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and any activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

EatCheap offers a free trial period followed by a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

5. Nutritional and Pricing Disclaimer

EatCheap provides meal plans, nutritional estimates, and grocery price estimates for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy using data from USDA and retail sources, we do not guarantee that nutritional information or prices are complete, current, or error-free.

The App is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Always consult a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have allergies, medical conditions, or specific nutritional requirements.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App.
• Use automated systems or software to access the App in a manner that sends more requests than a human can reasonably produce.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense any part of the App or its content.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are the property of EatCheap and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EatCheap and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, health issues arising from dietary choices, or financial losses from grocery purchases.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted within the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in accordance with applicable US law.
